Terry McKee, a native of Montgomery, Alabama, considers himself to be a primarily self-taught artist who delights in giving people the opportunity to see the extraordinary within everday items and situations.  His major influences have been Degas, John Singer Sargent, Edward Hopper, and Richard Estes.

His paintings on canvas have won numerous awards including the following: Best of Show award at the Montgomery Art Guild 38th Annual National Fair Statewide Art Competition; Best of Show award for the 18th Annual "Paint the Waterfront" Show sponsored by SACS Gallery and SouthTrust Bank.

Mr. Mckee's art is part of prestigious corporate collections such as Montgomery Area Board of Realtors; Mroz-Baier Breast Care Clinic L.L.C. in Memphis, TN; and Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.  His paintings on canvas are part of many private collections throughout the country.
