GADSDEN STATE HOSTS "HONORS DAY"
Gadsden State Community College recently held their annual "Honors Day" ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Menzies were awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Gadsden State Department of Court Reporting Director, Deanna Johnson, for their continued support of the court reporting profession. In the words of Ms. Johnson: "Mr. And Mrs. Menzies have been long-time supporters of the court reporting program. Their lovely daughter Cam graduated from the program cum laude in 1980. Unfortunately, her promising career was cut short by her tragic death in 1981. They began giving the “Cam Menzies Memorial Scholarship” in 1982. Nick and Janice, words cannot express our personal deep gratitude and the appreciation of the many lives of court reporting students you have touched. The scholarships you have given over the past 21 years in Cam’s memory have made it possible for all of those students to graduate from the program and become successful in the profession."
